Today’s buildings require increasingly sophisticated fire detection and alarm systems. In addition to detecting fires, alerting the emergency services and warning designated members of staff, these systems also have to perform complex control tasks as part of modern fire safety concepts.
In accordance with fire safety regulations, fire detection systems are usually connected to the following systems:
Depending on the way in which buildings are constructed and used, fire detection and alarm systems are subject to mandatory inspections under the Hessian Technical Inspection Ordinance (TPrüfV) and the Hessian Building Code (HBO). Additional requirements apply to specific types of building (e.g. event spaces, hotels and restaurants, hospitals, care homes, high-rise buildings and schools). Insurance providers may also stipulate their own conditions.
