TÜV Hessen strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2019/882. This accessibility statement applies to the websites www.tuev-hessen.de, www.tuev-kids.de, www.proficert.de, www.tuev-club.de and www.sustainability-blog.de.

A website is accessible if all content is

• easily perceivable,
• easy to use,
• easy to understand, and
• robust or compatible with assistive technologies.

This declaration was prepared on June 27, 2025, based on a self-assessment and evaluation by our agency and is updated regularly.

Our websites are already largely accessible and largely comply with the requirements of the Federal Office for Health and Safety (BFSG). However, some barriers still exist. We are working to continually reduce these barriers. We are supported by accessibility experts.

For PDF files: 

Some PDF files are not accessible. This primarily applies to content that is not required for current legal processes or active administrative procedures and that was created or updated before the effective date of the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) on June 28, 2025. We ask for your understanding that we cannot prepare these PDF files in an accessible format, as the effort required for post-processing is disproportionate to the benefit (disproportionate burden according to Section 17 BFSG). Furthermore, some documents provided by third parties (e.g., other cooperating organizations, project partners, etc.) are unfortunately not accessible. Temporarily also for newer PDFs 

For individual elements: 

• The cookie consent widget is not completely accessible
• Some video subtitles are still missing
• Images and graphical controls do not always have suitable alternative text;
• Some call-to-action controls do not yet meet the minimum contrast requirements everywhere.

The Market Surveillance Authority of the German States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) will be responsible for monitoring the accessibility of our websites from June 28, 2025. It will operate as a joint institution of the German states and be headquartered in Magdeburg (Saxony-Anhalt).
