1999
Effective August 1, 1999, the business units of the former TÜV Hessen e.V. or of TÜV Hessen GmbH, respectively, operating in Hesse, as well as additional organizational units of companies of TÜV Süddeutschland Holding AG operating in Hesse, become part of TÜ Hessen through a transfer of business. Parts of the organizational units of TÜ Hessen are transferred to companies of TÜV Süddeutschland Holding AG.
TÜH Technische Überwachung Hessen GmbH (short form: TÜ Hessen) is renamed TÜV Technische Überwachung Hessen GmbH (short form: TÜB Hessen).

On June 21, 2000, TÜV Hessen takes over 100% of SIGNUM GmbH.
