Medical-Psychological Assessment (MPA)
The Life Service division performs medical-psychological examinations (MPAs) for people who are required by the German licensing authority to demonstrate their fitness to drive in terms of their mental, physical and emotional ability. The reasons for such a demand from the licensing authority vary considerably, e.g. driving under the influence of alcohol or other forms of seriously impaired behaviour when driving vehicles on the road.
The fitness to drive examination includes the following:
- medical examination
- psychological tests
- interviews with psychologists.
The results are summarised in a final overall assessment of the person’s fitness to drive. If necessary, advice will be given or recommendations as to how the prerequisites for a positive result can be improved.
